The Brackla Skatepark Jam went off!
On Wednesday 1st April from 12 noon till 4pm at Brackla Skatepark, Bridgend, Wales (CF31 2PA), local skaters, riders and families came together for an epic afternoon of rider demos, music, competitions and a ton of prizes.
All ages and abilities got involved and the energy didn’t drop all day.
Massive shoutout to Bridgend County Borough Council, Team Rubicon, all the pro riders and the EPIC brands / prize sponsors for making it happen.

BRACKLA SKATEPARK
“Bridgend County Borough Council were looking to procure their first in-situ concrete skatepark to replace an old steel framed wooden skatepark. Maverick won the tender and supported the Council through the engagement process and into delivery. A seamless tender process and fantastic tender submission.
In collaboration with Bridgend Youth Services, Maverick held a local engagement session on site alongside an online engagement which was very well received. The concept drawing produced hit the nail with great public support for the park.
Once completed, a programme was put together and agreed by the Council and Maverick with mobilisation on site soon after.
Conditions on site were far from favourable, but the in-house Maverick team completed the build early and to such a high standard. A truly professional outfit with deep care for each of their projects. Brackla Skatepark has been spoken of for a number of years and with Maverick as our delivery partner, it was delivered from concept to completion in a matter of months.
I spent a lot of time with the builders on site and with the site manager to carefully run through landscaping details, the scheme was met with the same attention to detail and really gave the council confidence in what was being delivered.
Would strongly recommend working with Maverick and we are looking forward to hosting the launch event in 2026.”
